Abstract

Thispaperdescribestheinterfacingoftwoimportant humansensingfeatures hearingandvision,toarobot.Therobots task is defined to recognize the voice command from the human and recognize the object that the robot has been commanded to recognize. The robot makes use of feature extraction from speech signals and images to recognize the given signal. The features from speech signals are extracted as Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC); and the features from the image are extracted as Speeded Up Robust Features (SURF).
